Cancellation & Refund Policy
Understanding our cancellation and refund procedures for all service types

1. Introduction
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made on Tiringly ("[LEGAL NAME - TO BE UPDATED AFTER REGISTRATION]"), including courses, projects, mentorship sessions, and subscription plans. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
2. Course and Project Refunds
2.1 Standard Refund Policy
For courses and project-based programs, refunds are available under the following conditions:
- Within 7 days of enrollment: Full refund if less than 25% of content has been completed
- 7-14 days after enrollment: 50% refund if less than 50% of content has been completed
- After 14 days: No refund available
Note: Completion is calculated based on lessons viewed, assignments submitted, and quizzes completed.
2.2 Free Courses
Free courses are not subject to refund policies. You can unenroll from a free course at any time.
3. Mentorship Session Refunds
3.1 Individual Sessions
- 24+ hours before session: Full refund or reschedule
- 12-24 hours before session: 50% refund or reschedule
- Less than 12 hours: No refund (reschedule at mentor's discretion)
3.2 Session Packages
If you purchase a package of mentorship sessions:
- Unused sessions can be refunded within 30 days of purchase
- Refund amount is prorated based on sessions used
- Sessions cannot be transferred to another user
3.3 Mentor-Initiated Cancellations
If a mentor cancels a session, you will receive:
- Full refund for the cancelled session, OR
- Option to reschedule with the same mentor, OR
- Credit to book with another mentor
4. Subscription Plans
4.1 Monthly Subscriptions
- Cancel anytime before the next billing cycle
- Access continues until end of current billing period
- No partial refunds for unused days
4.2 Annual Subscriptions
- Full refund available within 14 days of purchase
- After 14 days, no refunds for annual plans
- You may cancel to prevent auto-renewal
5. Career Services Refunds
5.1 Resume Reviews
- Full refund if review not started within 48 hours
- No refund once review has been delivered
5.2 Mock Interviews
Same cancellation policy as mentorship sessions (see Section 3.1).
5.3 Career Coaching
Same cancellation policy as mentorship sessions (see Section 3.1).
6. Refund Eligibility Exceptions
Refunds are NOT available in the following cases:
- Account terminated for Terms of Service violations
- Submission of plagiarized or fraudulent work
- Certificate already issued for completed course
- Promotional or heavily discounted purchases (unless stated otherwise)
- Gift purchases (refunds go to purchaser, not recipient)
7. Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from accessing purchased content:
- Contact our support team within 48 hours of the issue
- Provide details and screenshots of the problem
- We will either resolve the issue or provide appropriate compensation
Extended platform downtime (more than 24 hours) may qualify for prorated refunds or subscription extensions.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings → Purchase History
- Select the purchase and click "Request Refund"
- Provide a reason for your refund request
Alternatively, email us at support@tiringly.com with:
- Your account email
- Order/transaction ID
- Reason for refund request
9. Refund Processing
- Review time: 3-5 business days
- Processing time: 7-10 business days after approval
- Method: Refunded to original payment method
- Bank processing: Additional 5-7 business days
Note: Payment gateway fees may be deducted from refund amounts in certain cases.
10. Instructor Payouts
For instructors and mentors, please note:
- Payouts are held during the refund eligibility period
- Refunded transactions are deducted from your earnings
- High refund rates may result in payout holds or account review
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Purchases made before policy changes will be honored under the terms at the time of purchase.
